NotesProcedural locomotion for Three.js
A procedural human movement library
First version of the library: it walks, runs, crouches, jumps and goes to a point, with no recorded animations.
This weekend I used Claude for the first time and decided to try something I could not have done otherwise: a procedural human movement library for Three.js.
There are no baked animations: movement is computed in real time, so the character does not follow a predefined animation and can react to its surroundings, like where its feet land.
It works with point and click and, for now, with humanoid models. It can also walk crouched and jump, has more than 100 parameters to define different movement profiles and supports Mixamo rigs and the Rigify metarig. It adapts to the model's size: a smaller character takes quicker steps and moves more slowly, as someone that size would.
